Licochalcone A

Licochalcone A is a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant active that is derived from the roots of the Chinese licorice plant Glycyrrhiza inflata. Licochalcone A protects cells from oxidative stress mediated by UV and blue light (HEVIS).

Licochalcone A is able to activate anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and detoxifying enzymes. These enzymes protect the skin cells from damage induced by oxidative stress, like lipid peroxidation and DNA as wells as protein damage. Licochalcone A is able to soothe irritated skin and redness.

    Works brillliantly for me
    I’ve been using this morning and evening for a couple of years now. It’s the only anti rosacea cream that I’ve used that pretty much completely solves my redness problem.

    Should be mattyfying
    Very surprised that this is not mattyfying, it splirs on the skin if you try and wear make up over it, and i use eucerin factor 50 mattyfying sun cream and its amazing, so i tried to get it on prescription, but its only the anti redness stuff im allowed, and it doesnt work, as its oily, and most people with rosecea have oily skin??

    I’ve never used an Antiredness cream before so was not sure what to expect. This cream is green (green anti redness cream concealers were a big thing a few years back) and is fairly liquid, so not a lot is needed at a time and is easily absorbed into skin. Did it work.. it had no problem concealing mild to medium redness, anything very red I would say the coverage was not as good, but in conjunction with other make up (foundation) it did a very good job at keeping the redness toned down. The cream leaves a very faint shimmer on skin, great on cheekbones but if using all over face, further make up will minimise this effect if wanted. The fact it is green tinted does mean there is no worry about the concealer matching skin tone and also being SPF25 is a great added bonus to skin protection. Being Hpersensitive cream meant I had no problems with sensitivity. Will I continue using... ABSOLUTELY!!
