Licochalcone A

Licochalcone A is a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant active that is derived from the roots of the Chinese licorice plant Glycyrrhiza inflata. Licochalcone A protects cells from oxidative stress mediated by UV and blue light (HEVIS).

Licochalcone A is able to activate anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and detoxifying enzymes. These enzymes protect the skin cells from damage induced by oxidative stress, like lipid peroxidation and DNA as wells as protein damage. Licochalcone A is able to soothe irritated skin and redness.

    Good cream. Terrible packaging
    I had to saw the bottle in half to get to the cream. The anti tamper bottle is bloody awful. No instructions how to get in. So now I’m going to have to decant it to other empty bottles.

    Hi Tami, Thanks for your feedback. All products in the Eucerin Hypersensitive Skin range use anti-contamination packaging to protect the formulas from impurities and oxidation. This packaging addresses three key risk areas: the valves, component connections and the functionality of dispensing. The valves have sterilising filters, the connections are ultra-welded for tightness and the dispenser has an ultra-tight tip seal. Essentially the product can be pumped out, but nothing (impurities) can go back in. Upon first use though, you may need to pump up to 10 times for the product to appear. Please note that if the “plug” in the dispenser pump is removed, tampered with or pushed inwards, this will cause the pump to no longer work. Kind Regards The Eucerin Consumer Interaction Team

    Huge fan
    I don’t usually write reviews, however this product significantly has helped my skin. I suffer from very red hyperpigmentation after a breakout and this is the only thing that helps to clear that redness quickly. This is the first thing I had tried from this brand, it was a recommendation from a friend who suffers with rosacea and also is a huge fan of this product. I’ve re-purchased three times. It takes a moment to pump out the cream as the packaging is very tightly sealed but this isn’t an issue. I am excited to try other products from this brand.

    Wow! I can’t live without this
    After struggling with contact dermatitis around my eyes and acne flare ups my skin has been a nightmare. I’ve been to the doctors and used steroid creams which help, however I’ve been left with sensitivity and flare ups. Everything I have used has irritated my skin. Not this though! Not only does it feel lovely on the skin, it works as a makeup primer too. I’ve only been using it for a week and my skin has substantially improved in redness, no sensitivity and smoother skin! It has treated my flare ups without any irritation. And it has not congested my pores or caused any acne flare ups- if anything it is calming them down. The perfect balance of moisture without being too rich for an oily skin type. Wow I’m amazed. Please never change this product!!!
